Hell YES!

I have been diligently working on my Berserkers, watching my collection of DVDs as I do so. Actually I get focused on my work and I forgot that I was watching anything, but I like occationally looking up at the screen to laugh at familiar lines from The Simpsons that I missed or they cut out, great fun! I finished one.. or was it two more minis? Anyways, I have been trying new ideas on them. One of them I tried out the decals that came with the set, it turned out pretty good but a piece of the skull decal was ripped when I slide it off. I also added a holster on the side of his leg and a jet pack on his back. At first I thought wouldn't look good, but I tried it out and it seems to complete the model. I am still debating if I should add it to the rest or just have one in the squad that was privileged enough to get one. My most recent mini has an actual head on his shoulders instead of the usual helm that they normally have. Unlike my Obliterator's face, I liked the way I took my time with this one instead of making him a solid colour for a face.

I know this is most likely hard to imagine, so I hope to take a few GOOD pictures of my minis this time. But right now I am stuck at work, chow for now.

Link!

I contacted the creater of the site that inspired me to create this blog section. He gave me the "Ok", so I am going to throw a link to it on the side, check it out. He has some very well painted models there, then you can come back here to laugh at mine in comparison. No seriously, check out what his site has to offer, he has been painting for quite a few years and has even entered numerous contests.

Special thank you to David Dresch!

Khorne Berserkers!

I thought I should post my current work, so here are the three Berserkers I have beens slowly painting for the last month or so. I usually do one in a short burst then forget about them for days. But now I have four done. I was going to post a picture of it but it turned out blurry so I will have to work on my photography of my miniatures. In fact this was one of the better pictures I took. I will show more once I get the hang of things.

New Blog!

Alright, after surfing the web for ideas on how to paint miniatures I finally thought to myself I should start a new blog on my evolution as a painter of models. So here I am my first post... well it won't be cool untill I actually take pictures of my work and start posting them. But before that I will have to start my miniatures. So, this post is going to be a brief history on my painting.

I was first inspired to start modelling when I seen how good my brothers got at it. They would paint the many model cars and trucks we would all get for birthdays or Christmas and they would turn out great. My first car was a snap-tight, just a small police car, I will later post a picture of it. But like all 7 years that start painting it was very horribly done, I would rush through it just to see what it looked like when it was done. This is still one of my biggest down falls when I paint, I enjoy painting but I can't wait for paint to dry.

Now, I have moved from models to miniatures, but I still have the itch to try doing some old school modelling. I am now throwing together my Chaos Berserkers, which I have 3 of 12 finished. I hope to keep hard on it during the weeks to come. I will also post some of my finished work to show my evolution as a painter.
